Why? Because we wanted to add a fun little extra, use this option on vinyl that's not often used and also because the track serves as a kind of bonustrack.

Vikings in Tibet

About the artist
Hailing from the north of the Netherlands, Vikings in Tibet is based in their self-built studio in the catacombs of an abandoned university complex. In tune with bands like Grizzly Bear, Real Estate and Balthazar, they describe their music as cinematic indie with a good solid groove.

The band was formed by two brothers with Danish roots, who soon ran into a light-hearted Englishman and pulled a drummer straight out of the Dutch clay. In the wake of their EP "Petrichor";, which was well-received in their hometown of Groningen, they started recording with producer Matthijs Herder (The Black Atlantic, The Horse Company). This led to the release of their debut album "Alchemy Ave." in 2017.

That summer, a backdrop of Welsh mountains formed the scenery for the recording of "Shire" – on a trip where the Vikings also laid the groundwork for their follow-up record. Back home again they hosted the first edition of their very own showcase event during ESNS 2018, held in Groningen's stunning synagogue. The band is now continuing in the same vein, with the arrival of their second album on the horizon.

Model Depose

Model Depose
About the artist
Damage Control is the new album by Model Depose. Romanticism has grown into a grounded vision on the world. The sound of new wave has slowly evolved into its own style. Would you call it indie, rock or alternative pop? Model Depose has it all and is none of them. Their identity has matured and is audible in both the music and lyrics. Dark fiction has been traded with themes in which humanitarian issues are subtly raised. For example, the single Bombs are Falling is about post traumatic stress; the dissonance in your perception is becomes clear in Red Alert. One of the crown jewels on Damage Control is the love duet Cold War with the Groningen-based queen of darkness, FENN. The album is a full-fledged piece of music in which everything fits together like a puzzle, where grit and a soothing atmosphere always find balance through raw beats, dynamic vocals and subdued synthesizer melodies.

Jelger Staal

Jelger Staal
About the artist
Not alot is written about Jelger, which is why he writes his own biography. Jelger finds it alienating to write about himself in the third person. What can he do about this? Well, the plan is that he will score a sweet hit with Marco Borsato so that he will let others write about him. Until then you have to do it with this.

All craziness aside: Jelger is one of the six sons of Groningen folk singer Ede Staal. After he got a keyboard and a tapedeck at the age of six of his older acid-house loving brother, a cassette tape filled with childlike swagger, music compilations and attempts at his own radio shows with brother Jasper followed. From the age of sixteen he started to forge experimental sound compositions inspired by artists such as Orbital, Monolake, Underworld and LTJ Bukem.

In his twenties hiphop arrived as a new musical love, and he fused his love of language with rhymes on beats, as a new discipline besides making compositions. Jelger is currently presenting the Doowutyalike radio show on Oogradio and the eclectic Stay Hungry podcast on TheFindMag. Jelger's song for de Biotape is a short, dreamy, but also dramatic meditation on the devastating impact that the Spaniards had on the culture of the Aztecs.
